Palak Paneer/ Spinach Cottage Cheese Gravy
Palak Paneer is a famous North Indian delicacy 😋. A Vegetarian dish made with paneer and palak 🌿is indeed a power food. Rich combo of
spinach and cottage cheese is very nutritive and healthy 💪. The recipe is quite simple. Blanch the spinach
and puree it along with sautéed onion and tomatoes 🍅. After cooking it low flame
finally we add paneer. That’s it, yummy palak paneer is ready 😃. Okay then let’s get started….

Serves: 4-5
Ingredients
Palak / spinach: 1 bunch
Paneer / cottage cheese: 1 cup (cubes)
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
Green chili: 2-3 (chopped)
Onion: 1 (chopped)
Tomato: 1 (chopped)
Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
Chili powder: 1 tsp
Coriander powder: ½ tsp
Garam masla: 1 tsp
Fresh cream: 2 tbsp
Oil: as needed
Water: as needed
Salt: as needed
Method
1.
Wash the spinach under clean running water; make
sure all impurities are washed away.
2.
Boil water, add the cleaned spinach and boil
it for 2 mins. Turn off the flame.
3.
Drain the water and allow it to cool.
4.
Heat a pan with little oil add cumin seeds.
5.
Add ginger
garlic paste and chopped green chilies.
6.
Add onion, sauté till it turns light in medium
flame.
7.
When the onion turns brown add tomatoes, sauté
it well. Allow it to cool.
8.
Meanwhile gently fry the paneer cubes till it
turns golden brown on both sides.
9.
Blend the blanched spinach followed by onion
tomato mixture.
10.
Heat oil in the same pan add turmeric powder,
chili powder gently sauté it in low flame.
11.
When it is well sautéed add the blended puree, cook
for 2-3 min.
12.
Add salt, garam masala and paneer cubes.
13.
Finally add fresh cream and turn off the flame. Keep
covered for another couple minutes.
14.
Garnish with grated paneer.
15.
Serve with jeera rice (cumin rice), roti (flat
bread) or naan.
16.Enjoy.
