Wanna eat something healthy and crunchy???? Then here it is……. corn flakes mixture. It’s also called corn flakes chivda . Its a super easy recipe and super tasty too. My hubby always needs something to chew on so I make it in bulk and just store it in an air tight container so that you don’t run out of snacks. My little one also enjoys this as it’s loaded with dry fruits and she enjoys the nuts popping up from the mixture while eating. It’s a guilt free snack. You can impress your guests and friends with this. Nowadays corn flakes are inevitable in every household. It’s a must for morning breakfast as it is loaded with nutrients.So let’s have something healthy for our evening snack also. Corn flakes mixture will be ready in no time. Ok then, let’s get started.
Preparation time: 5-10 min
Cooking time: 10-15 min
Serves: 2-3
INGREDIENTS
Corn flakes: 1 ½ cup
Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
Curry leaves: 3-5 leaves
Green chilies: 2-3
Cashew nuts: 10-15
Raisins: 15-20
Roasted peanuts: 10-15
Turmeric powder: ½ teaspoon
Chili powder: 1 ½ teaspoon
Sugar: 1 ½ tbsp
Salt: as needed
Oil: as needed
MEHTOD
1. Heat a pan ,add oil as needed and shallow fry the flakes till it is crisp (you can also deep fry it). Transfer it to an absorbent paper.
2. Heat a pan, add oil ,mustard seeds, followed by curry leaves and green chilies.
3. Add cashew nuts, raisins roast it well and add roasted ground nut. Switch off the flame when they are roasted.
4. Add turmeric powder, chili powder, sugar and salt. Mix it well.
5. Add cornflakes, give it a final mix.
6. Yummy cornflakes mixture is ready; serve it with tea or coffee.
7. Once it is cooled completely store in an air tight container.
